Saunas
Infrared and Traditional Saunas
Exhale Yamba offers both traditional and Far-infrared Saunas.
The difference between traditional and infrared is the heating method.
Far-Infrared is a safe, natural and beneficial wavelength of light which we feel as gentle heat, as it penetrates deep into our cells. This is great choice for those who find it difficult to stay in traditional saunas for extended periods of time.
Traditional are heated either by electric or wood fire , which raises the heat of the air inside the sauna, warming the walls and surrounding air.
Far-Infrared
Increasing thermal energy within our body and warming us safely, heats the body directly and absorbs into the skin up to 45mm deep.
Our Far-infrared also has LED light therapy, also known as colour therapy, a holistic treatment used to improve your overall health and wellbeing.

Ice Bath
Cold Water Immersion
One of the most effective treatments we offer is the ice bath, a practice known for its numerous health benefits. Cold water therapy, also known as cold immersion therapy, is voluntary exposure to cold water, for its potential health or recovery benefits. An ice bath reduces core body and tissue temperature. Everyone reacts differently, but there are several ways ice bathing may be beneficial.
When you get into an ice bath you may notice goosebumps and shivering. These are responses that help generate heat. Blood vessels on the surface of the skin constrict so that blood is directed toward the internal organs to limit heat loss. The body also increases heat production through the activation of brown fat, a type of adipose tissue that can create heat. With cold water immersion specifically, the body also experiences reflexes that affect the nervous system, respiration, heart rate, and blood pressure. Once you step out of an ice bath, your circulation increases, and your muscles relax as you warm up.
Benefits include:
-
Reduces muscle soreness by lessening delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS).
-
Decreases inflammation and swelling.
-
Speeds up recovery after workouts.
-
Improves circulation and waste removal.
-
Boosts the immune system by stimulating immune cell production.
-
Enhances mental toughness and builds resilience.
-
Relieves stress by promoting relaxation.
-
Improves sleep quality by calming the body.
-
Reduces the risk of heat exhaustion by quickly cooling the body.
-
Enhances mood by increasing endorphin release.
-
Helps burn body fat and lower the risk of diabetes.
-
Boost Metabolism.
-
Increases adiponectin, preventing insulin resistance.
It's a valuable tool for those seeking to improve their physical recovery and build resilience, though it should be used thoughtfully and in consideration of individual health conditions and goals. It is important to check with your medical practitioner if you have any underlying medical issues, before using our facilities.
